read this first!
So, I’m posting this sticky to let both new and old followers know a little more about what they can expect when following me!
Most of what I post falls under the following themes:
- Photos and artwork of nature (forests, landscapes, mountains, animals, astronomy, geology, palaeontology)
- Topics pertinent to pagan/heathen religions and witchcraft (including written posts as well as photos and artwork of altars, festivals, etc.)
- Psychedelic and surreal artwork and photos (including fractals, abstract paintings, and light painting with long-exposure photos)
- Fantasy and mythological artwork and costumes (with the occasional furry/anthro)
- Things relevant to privilege/oppression, LGBTQ issues, cultural appropriation, sexuality, classism, dis/ability & chronic illness, racism. This is not a ~social justice activist~ centered blog but I do often post about anti-oppression topics.
Some things that I post or reblog that others might not want to see for various reasons (I highly suggest using the Tumblr Savior browser extension — get it for Chrome, Firefox, Opera):
- Occasional naked people in photos or artwork. I warn for this with the tag nude.
- Spiders, bugs, snakes, and other creepy crawlies that some might not want to see. I warn for these with the appropriate tags, usually in both the singular and plural, e.g. spider, spiders, snake, snakes.
- Occasionally I might post artwork featuring a bit of mild gore or blood. This is extremely rare, but I warn with the tag gore and/or blood. I frequently post photos of things like bones and taxidermy mounts, so if you would rather not see that, I tag those posts with the appropriate words, such as bones, skull/skulls, or taxidermy.
- Animated gifs, generally as response images or clips of a movie/tv show — I tag these with animated gif as well as epilepsy warning.
- I might post or reblog the occasional thing relating to various fandoms, but this is relatively uncommon. If you hate particular fandoms, please use Tumblr Savior. I tag appropriately when it comes to fandom posts.
Things that I do not post or reblog:
- Pornography and explicit sex
- Photos of real-life gore, violence, dead bodies of people or animals, blood, and/or surgeries
- Explicit references to illegal drugs/substances
- Extremely flashy & strobing animated gifs
- Random photos of Nazis “because I’m interested in the history, maaaaaan” no fuck that, fuck Nazis, fuck fascists, fuck people who are into it “just for the history” or “purely for shock value” — you are lying and also racist and anti-Semitic, now gtfo
